ENHANCING FEMALE PERFORMANCE IN TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION IN NIGERIA: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

Most women excel in other professional other than technology education. This is so because they think technology education for men alone. So far, females tended to occupy low status in jobs that do not require specialized technology training. As women seek to enter into technology occupations that have been monopolized by men, they need adequate specialized training. Their participation will go a long way to compliment the efforts of their opposite sex in national development. This paper therefore, examined the status of women in technology education, Technology and contemporary Nigerian situation, impediments to education of female in technology education, advantages of educating the female in technolo education and strategies for enhancing female participation in technology education.
