This study investigated the enhancement of information literacy for sustainable development in university libraries in Nigeria. The population comprised four (4) university librarians. Four (4) questionnaires were administered, with a benchmark mean score of 2.5. The results revealed that the impact of information literacy among librarians includes: boosting academic performance, enhancing research productivity, and driving informed decision- making across sectors by providing accessibility, high-quality data, and knowledge. The study also affirmed that information literacy significantly impacts sustainable development by facilitating education, research, and innovation, with ICTs enhancing access to knowledge and improving efficiency in libraries. The study recommends that librarians embrace information literacy to enhance their job performance and attend seminars/workshops to augment their skills and boost morale.
