In December 2020 the South African Centre for Digital Language Resources (SADiLaR) launched the ESCALATOR programme to support the development of an active and inclusive community of practice in Digital Humanities and Computational Social Sciences in South Africa.

This report summarises activities and highlights of the ESCALATOR programme between December 2020 and March 2023.

ESCALATOR is developed and implemented in partnership with Talarify.

SADiLaR is a research infrastructure established by the South African government's Department of Science and Innovation as part of the South African Research Infrastructure Roadmap (SARIR).
