The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) in Rwanda has raised ethical concerns regarding its governance and use within African societies. The study employs a qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) approach to examine existing literature on AI ethics in Africa, with a specific focus on Rwanda's socio-economic context. This framework provides a theoretical foundation for future research and policy development in AI ethics within African societies, with a particular emphasis on Rwanda's unique context. Developed stakeholders should prioritise the establishment of independent oversight bodies and public engagement platforms. These mechanisms will ensure that AI systems align with ethical principles and societal values.
