This study explores ethical considerations and governance mechanisms in Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Eritrean societies from to . A qualitative study using semi-structured interviews with 30 community leaders, policymakers, and technologists in Eritrea's capital city. Data was analysed through thematic content analysis to uncover patterns of AI ethics and governance practices. Participants highlighted the importance of cultural sensitivity and local knowledge integration into AI design, particularly regarding data privacy concerns and algorithmic bias. The study reveals a need for tailored AI development strategies that respect Eritrean values and contexts, suggesting potential benefits in fostering inclusive technological growth. Recommendation 1: Develop culturally responsive AI guidelines to ensure ethical implementation. Recommendation 2: Enhance public education on AI ethics to build informed societal participation.
