This dataset contains the empirical data used in the study examining sport diplomacy in Ethiopia. The dataset includes information collected from relevant sport diplomacy stakeholders and captures their perceptions and experiences regarding the effectiveness, opportunities, and challenges of using sport as a diplomatic resource.
The dataset includes variables related to sport diplomacy effectiveness, diplomatic outcomes, stakeholder perceptions, institutional capacity, financial constraints, infrastructure, policy and governance, international partnerships, and other factors influencing the implementation of sport diplomacy in Ethiopia.
The data were collected for academic research purposes and were analyzed using appropriate quantitative statistical methods to examine the relationships between sport diplomacy-related factors and its effectiveness. The dataset is provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and further scholarly research on sport diplomacy, particularly in the Ethiopian and African context.
