This study aims to evaluate the nature and equity of international research partnerships on AI-driven antimalarial resistance surveillance in tropical Africa through a quantitative scientometric analysis of publications and intervention-based studies published between January 1st, 2021, and May 23rd, 2026. The study will assess partnership composition, funding participation, implementation responsibility, authorship distribution, authorship leadership, and citation influence between African and non-African institutions using a Partnership Equity Evaluation Framework (PEEF). Employing a multi-analytical approach comprising bibliometric, scientometric, comparative, thematic, and narrative synthesis, this study seeks to evaluate collaboration patterns, scientific contributions, and partnership equity within contemporary AI-enabled malaria surveillance research in tropical Africa.
