Evaluating the Impact of E-Learning on Business Education in Colleges of Education in South West Nigeria: An Empirical Study

The rapid growth of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has significantly transformed educational methodologies worldwide. In particular, e-learning has emerged as a pivotal tool in enhancing the delivery of business education. This study evaluates the impact of e learning on business education in Colleges of Education in South West Nigeria. By examining both the opportunities and challenges associated with e-learning adoption, this empirical study understands its influence on students' learning outcomes, engagement, and overall academic performance in business-related courses. Through a combination of surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions with students and Lecturers, the study identifies key factors that facilitate or hinder the effective implementation of e-learning. The research also explores the perceptions of faculty members regarding the integration of digital tools into teaching practices. The findings revealed that e-learning has positive effects on the teaching and learning of Business Education in Colleges of Education. It concludes by recommending that Government and school authorities should provide adequate ICT facilities such as computers, internet services, projectors, and digital learning platforms in Colleges of Education to enhance the effective utilization of e-learning technologies.
