This dataset is generated from the research study conducted to understand the willingness to pay (WTP) for small-scale maize shelling machines and to identify factors affecting the willingness to pay among farmers. The study was conducted in three districts in central and northern Tanzania (Kongwa, Kiteto, and Manyara districts). About 400 households were randomly selected from five village lists. A structured questionnaire was used to interview households. In addition to the survey, 21 key informants located in Arusha, Dodoma, as well as in the districts in which survey was implemented were interviewed. The interviews included asking the respondents to establish activity profiles for maize cultivation and post-harvest processes. SPSS Household- and Community-level Surveys
