This study followed a qualitative interpretivist research approach to investigate the adoption of cloud computing in the context of data-driven organisation which reveals a complicated environment entangled with complex viewpoints and contextual details. Due to its ability to involve in-depth exploration of a specific case, focusing on its unique context and allowing for a holistic understanding of the phenomenon under investigation, an interpretive case study research methodology employed to investigate research questions within one of the oldest pan-African investment, savings, insurance, and banking groups. A purposeful-criterion sampling method was employed to identify research participants for this study, and the job roles of the selected 37 participants included IT managers, architects, systems analysts, senior developers, and senior business analysts. To establish participants opinions on the investigated research question, qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviews. Known for its flexibility and adaptability, an inductive thematic data analysis was employed to analyse and identify themes from the collected data. The data collected and analysed is attached on the dataset, in addition to insights established from the data.
