The removal of fuel subsidies and exchange rate unification introduced in Nigeria in May 2023 have generated substantial macroeconomic shocks with important implications for household food security. However, evidence on how these reforms have altered household food insecurity transitions remains limited. This study examined changes in household food insecurity status and identified the socioeconomic factors driving these transitions using primary data collected from 300 households in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, Nigeria
