GÖÇ YOLUNDA AZERBAYCAN-GENCE/KARABAĞ TÜRKLÜĞÜ: KONYA/CİHANBEYLİ-KARABAĞ MAHALLESİ AĞZI I - SES BİLGİSİ

The Turks continued the nomadic lifestyle for centuries after they shifted to settled life. These migrations were sometimes a result of necessity and sometimes a choice. Migrations to Anatolia took place as in large masses from the region known as Aran/Karabakh in Azerbaijan today, also known as Gence/Karabakh in the past and today, and throughout history, there was transitivity between these two regions. Turks who settled in Anatolia from this region have shown that they never forgot their history by giving the name “Karabakh” to wherever they have settled, and they have also tried not to forget their past and to keep their culture alive by transferring it from mouth to mouth and from memory to memory. In this study, which came into being by taking approximately 8 hours of sound recording from 19 different people in total, an assessment will be made on the recent history of the Karabagh neighborhood in Konya/Cihanbeyli, whose history goes back to the said region, but this will be conducted in terms of phonetics only for the time being.
