Gender and health careers in Kenya: a quantitative analysis

In this report, we analyze the careers of licensed medical and dental practitioners in Kenya in 2025. Previous studies have described the overall composition of Kenya's health workforce. No study has yet provided a unified, quantitative description of its gendered features. Our work addresses this gap by examinining how gender relates to practice location, specialist status, training histories, and entry into the workforce.
