Genome wide copy number variation (CNV) for South African Drakensberger cattle

This dataset contains copy number variation (CNV) calls identified in South African Drakensberger cattle using high density SNP genotyping data. CNVs were detected from SNP derived Log R Ratio (LRR) and B Allele Frequency (BAF) intensity measures using the PennCNV software package. The dataset includes individual CNV calls generated across the bovine genome for sampled Drakensberger cattle. Information provided includes animal identifiers, chromosome number, genomic start and end positions, CNV length, number of SNP markers spanning each CNV, CNV state, and CNV type (deletion or duplication). The dataset was generated following standard quality control procedures applied to SNP genotyping data before CNV detection. These data support the investigation of structural genomic variation in the South African Drakensberger cattle population.
