Week - 0 challenge on African Climate Trend Analysis, which focuses on understanding, exploring, and analyzing historical climate and weather data from Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, and Nigeria.
# African Climate Trend Analysis - Week 0
## Project Overview
This repository contains exploratory climate trend analysis for Ethiopia using NASA POWER daily weather data from January 2015 through March 2026. The Week 0 work focuses on repository setup, reproducible Python tooling, data profiling, cleaning, exploratory analysis, and locally exported cleaned datasets.

## Environment Reproduction
### Prerequisites
- Git
- Python 3.10 or newer
### Local Setup
```bash
git clone
github.com
cd climate-challenge-week0
python -m venv .venv
```
Activate the environment:
```bash
# Windows PowerShell
.\.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1
# macOS/Linux
Register the notebook kernel:
```bash
python -m ipykernel install --user --name climate-week0 --display-name "Python (climate-week0)"
```
### Run the Ethiopia EDA Notebook
Task 2 work is on the `eda-ethiopia` branch:
```bash
git switch eda-ethiopia
jupyter notebook notebooks/ethiopia_eda.ipynb
```
Run all notebook cells from top to bottom. The notebook downloads NASA POWER data, profiles data q …
