Adey Ethiopian Calendar A modern Chrome extension for Ethiopian and Gregorian calendars, with reminders, holidays, and a bi-directional date converter. ## Features - **Bi-directional Calendar Display:** Displays a monthly calendar with both Ethiopian and Gregorian dates. - **Holiday Integration:** Pre-loaded and filterable public, religious, and cultural holidays. - **Personal Reminders:** Create, edit, and delete personal reminders with offline support. - **Date Converter:** A dedicated tab to convert any date from Gregorian to Ethiopian and vice versa. - **Multi-language Support:** Localized formatting for Amharic (አማርኛ) and English. - **Theme Toggler:** Switch between dark, light, and system themes, with preferences saved locally. - **Advanced Filtering:** Filter holidays by type (public, religious, cultural). - **Responsive UI:** A beautifully designed interface that is intuitive and easy to use. ## Installation (for Developers) 1. **Clone or copy this repository** to your machine (the folder that contains `manifest.json` at its root). 2. **Open Google Chrome** and go to **`chrome://extensions/`**. 3. Turn **Developer mode** on (toggle in the top-right corner). 4. Click **Load unpacked**. 5. Select the **`adey_calendar`** project folder (the directory that contains `manifest.json`). Chrome will install the extension in developer mode. 6. **Pin or open the extension:** Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin **Adey Ethiopian Calendar**, or click its icon to open the popup. **Notes:** - No separate build step is required for local testing; the extension uses ES modules and loads assets directly from the repo. - On **Windows**, do not create files named reserved device names (e.g. `nul`, `con`) in the project folder—Chrome may refuse to load the extension. ## How to Use (for Users) 1. **Install:** Find and install the "Adey Calendar" extension from the Chrome Web Store. 2. **Open:** Click the Adey Calendar icon in your browser toolbar …
