Built during the 2026 Claude Hackathon at Makerere University # Syllabus Bridge **AI-Powered Companion for Uganda's New Competence-Based Curriculum** - Built to make implementation of the new Competence-Based Curriculum more efficient for Ugandan schools. - Built during the 2026 Claude Hackathon at Makerere University ### Live Link syllabus-bridge.vercel.app ### Problem It Solves Teachers who were trained using the Knowledge-Based Curriculum were expected to teach their students using the Competence-Based Curriculum. Also, many teachers were not given enough training and the resources for students & teachers to use during the new curriculum were not enough hence implementing this new curriculum has not been effective. ### What It Does - The teacher(user) inputs the subject, class level, topic, available resources and duration of the lesson. - SyllabusBridge then generates an NCDC-aligned lesson plan that is student-centered (esp with competence-based assessment tasks) - The teacher can edit & customize the lesson plan further or request more clarification on an aspect in the lesson plan that he/she doesnt understand. - Then he/she can download and print out the lesson plan ### How It Was Built - **Techstack**: TypeScript, HTML, CSS - **Deployment**: syllabus-bridge.vercel.app ### Focus Area Uganda’s Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC)
