About SkillHub is a mobile-first, low-data web platform built to close the employment gap in rural Nigerian communities, starting with Isi-Akatta, Imo State. Young graduates in these areas often have real, usable skills but no accessible way to connect with the local businesses that need them, while entrepreneurs struggle to find qualified workers, and investors have no visibility into community-level projects worth funding. SkillHub solves this with a single platform serving three roles: Graduate — build a profile, list your skills, and apply to local opportunities. Employer / Entrepreneur — post jobs, gigs, and apprenticeships, and manage applicants. Investor — discover community projects and express interest in funding them. This repository contains the working prototype, built to demonstrate the core requirements defined in the project's Software Requirements Specification (SRS). The Problem In communities like Isi-Akatta, graduates aged 18–35 remain unemployed not because they lack skills, but because no accessible, localized system exists to connect them with opportunity. This leads to wasted talent, rural-to-urban migration, employers unable to hire locally, and investors locked out of viable community projects. Existing platforms (LinkedIn, Jobberman, etc.) are built for urban, digitally-connected users and structurally exclude this population.
