Trust Infrastructure for the infromal economy in nigeria. that travels with you
# TrustRail
**The Behavioural Trust Intelligence Network for emerging markets.**
> QoreID verifies *who you are*. TrustRail proves *whether you're trustworthy*.
TrustRail turns fragmented behavioural signals — bank transactions, repayment
events, asset returns, identity — into **portable, explainable trust**, so any
institution can safely transact with the 60%+ of Nigerians who have little or no
formal credit history.
This repo is a **fully functional, runnable implementation** of that product: a
real scoring engine over real (synthetic) transaction data, a REST Trust
Intelligence API, a shared trust network with live network effects, and a
lender-facing dashboard.

## The strategic pivot (why this isn't "just another KYC/credit tool")
The concept began life as *"identity verification + a single trust score."* The
investor critique that shaped this build argued that framing is a commodity, and
that the real company is much larger. This implementation bakes in those pivots:
| Original idea | Pivot implemented here |
|---|---|
| One "trust score" | **Five explainable sub-scores** → a public Trust Index (300–900) |
| Answers "can they afford it?" | Answers **"what kind of borrower is this?"** — behaviour, not just capacity |
| KYC / identity vendor | **Behavioural trust *network*** — the moat is shared network effects, not data |
| Overwrite the score | **Event-sourced** — behaviour appends to an immutable timeline; scores are replayable snapshots (regulator-grade auditability) |
| Sell a number | **Sell a decision** — approve / review / decline + approved amount + rationale |
| Regulation as the reason to buy | Regulation as an accelerator; customers buy because **they lose less money** |
| Nigeria + rentals only | Horizontal trust layer: lending, BNPL, rental, insurance, landlords, SMEs, employers |
Plus a **consumer flywheel** (people obsess over and protect their score, à la
Credit Karma) and a **reciprocity model** (contribute events → get richer
