# 🏥 Kenya Human Development Dashboard: Health & Education Outcomes vs. Government Investment **Kenya Human Development Dashboard is a production-quality Streamlit BI application that interrogates 25 years of World Bank data to answer a single sharp question — is Kenya's government spending on health and education actually moving the needle on human outcomes?** The pipeline fetches 12 World Development Indicators for Kenya and 5 peer countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and South Africa as an aspirational benchmark) across 2000–2024, merges them into a 150-row tidy Parquet dataset, and surfaces the results across 8 interactive Plotly charts organized into 4 thematic tabs: Health Outcomes, Education, Spending vs Outcomes, and Export. A live-computed Executive Summary banner opens every session with real headline findings drawn directly from the data — Kenya's life expectancy gained +7.75 years since 2000 reaching 67.2 years, under-5 child mortality collapsed 59% from 95 to 39 deaths per 1,000 live births, and DPT immunization coverage now stands at 91% — while the dashboard's design deliberately surfaces the gaps alongside the progress: secondary school enrollment lags primary by over 30 percentage points, and South Africa's trajectory shows plainly how much further Kenya's system can travel.
