GDDP helps civil society, advocates, researchers, and journalists find **gender-relevant survey data** in one place: full-text search over catalog metadata, filters (year, series, quality, gender relevance), interactive dashboards, and a guided **Data Catalogue** flow to preview and export selections.

## Problem statement
Rwanda produces a large volume of **gender-disaggregated and gender-relevant data** every year through national surveys and related products, but that evidence is still **hard to discover and use** for the people who depend on it most—civil society organisations, advocates, journalists, and researchers.
In practice, users routinely face:
- **Fragmented access** — metadata and files are spread across catalogues and formats, with no single place to search across studies.
- **Heavy narrative and PDF outputs** — findings are difficult to scan, compare, or reuse in advocacy workflows.
- **Weak signals on fit and quality** — it is unclear which surveys best match a topic or how complete the documentation is.
- **Pressure on time** — advocacy and policy cycles move faster than manual catalogue browsing allows.
GDDP is built to **reduce friction** in finding trustworthy, relevant survey data so evidence can reach decisions sooner.
