# PGC Africa AI Workshop
# Workshop Title: Artificial Intelligence in Human Genetics
The Africa Working Group of the PGC was formed in September 2022, with 240+ active members across 24 African countries representing both the African continent and Africans working in the diaspora. The focus of the group is on facilitating the equitable immersion of Africa and African researchers into the world of psychiatric genetics.
PGC Africa will be facilitating an A.I workshop during the 15th African Society of Human Genetics and the 1st Ugandan Society of Human Genetics and Bioinformatics Conference.
