# ALERT Study — Main Results Paper: Analysis Code
Stata syntax (do-files) for the ALERT study main results paper, covering the full
pipeline from raw-data cleaning through outcome derivation, modelling and
meta-analysis.
ALERT (Action Leveraging Evidence to Reduce perinatal morTality and morbidity in
sub-Saharan Africa) is a stepped-wedge cluster-randomised trial conducted in 16
hospitals across Benin, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda.

## Pipeline
The code runs in two stages — **data cleaning** first, then **analysis**.
`0_ALERT_pipeline_master.do` (repository root) documents and chains the full
sequence:

The cleaning do-files are published **exactly as used for the paper** and the
handoff between them is in-memory (their `use`/`save` lines are commented
templates): run steps 0a → 0b → 1a → 1a.i → 1b in one Stata session, loading
the raw country exports and saving outputs at the points marked in the master
do-file.
