The dashboard was created as part of a Master of Science in Economics dissertation completed at Mzumbe University in 2024. # Power BI Dashboard: Veterinary Services Adoption Among Small-Scale Dairy Farmers in Marangu (2024) -Strong adoption of key animal health practices is evident, with artificial insemination used by about 79 percent of farmers and treatment services leading at roughly 80 percent, signaling high awareness of improved breeding and disease management for productivity. -Vaccination uptake stands at nearly 66 percent, indicating moderate preventive care but highlighting a gap that could be addressed through targeted outreach. -Gender-disaggregated data shows higher livestock ownership among women, emphasizing their critical contribution to dairy production systems. -Village-level analysis identifies Mshiri and Ashira as maintaining the largest average herd sizes, which correspond with comparatively higher milk outputs. -Total milk production reached approximately 622,000 litters, reinforcing the economic relevance of smallholder dairy farming in Marangu, Kilimanjaro Region. -The estimated livestock value of about 342 million further underscores the sector’s financial significance and the productivity benefits linked to veterinary service utilization. The dashboard demonstrates how business intelligence tools can enhance agricultural research by improving data interpretation, supporting policy discussion, and guiding interventions aimed at strengthening livestock management and rural livelihoods.
