Classification of News Documents and transcripts from live news in English and isiXhosa using multinomial logistic regression. ### Aim ### To predict the category of new documents in both Xhosa and English using a Multinomial Logistic Regression Model with PyTorch. ## File Descriptions ### - .gitignore : This is just to ignore the dataset when I was actually coding the model - A3Report.pdf : The report containing explanations of my notebook and results of the model - Masakhane.ipynb : The actual notebook where all of the coding happens. ### Dependencies ### - numpy - torch (PyTorch) - pandas - scikit-learn - matplotlib You might just have to fiddle around with the datasets (eng.zip and xho.zip) and their respective paths to get the notebook to work.
