Akan names are derived from Ghanian culture. Frequently in Ghana, children are given their first name as a 'day name' which corresponds to the day in the week they were born. Akan Nomenclature application displays an individual's Akan Name with date of birth and gender values as required input. # Akan Names ## Brief Description Akan names are derived from Ghanian culture. Frequently in Ghana, children are given their first name as a 'day name' which corresponds to the day in the week they were born. This application derives a user's Akan Name depending on the user's date of birth and gender.
