Solar output estimator & daily irradiance analyzer for Accra, Ghana using NASA POWER API # Solar Output Estimator — Accra, Ghana Estimates daily and monthly energy output for a residential solar PV system in Accra, Ghana, using real satellite-derived irradiance data from NASA POWER. ## What it does - Pulls a full year of daily solar irradiance and temperature data via the NASA POWER API - Validates the data against known seasonal patterns (dry season vs. West African monsoon) - Calculates estimated daily/monthly energy output for a 5kW residential system - Visualizes both irradiance and output trends across the year ## Results - Estimated annual output: **7,059 kWh** - Peak month: March (673.5 kWh) - Lowest month: July (484.3 kWh), consistent with monsoon cloud cover ## Tech used Python, pandas, matplotlib, requests, NASA POWER API ## Run it yourself ``` pip install requests pandas matplotlib python main.py ``` ## Charts
