I created AfriRate a lightweight browser extension designed for one purpose: to convert African currencies into international currencies using live exchange rates. # AfroRate - African Currency Converter AfroRate is a lightweight Chrome extension that allows users to convert African currencies into international African currencies using real-time exchange rates. It is designed to be fast, simple, offline and reliable for travelers, business owners, and anyone dealing with African currencies. --- ## Features - Convert African currencies into USD, EUR, GBP, and more. - Fetches live exchange rates from a trusted API. - Clean, ad-free interface focused on usability. - No personal data collection or tracking. --- ## Installation 1. Clone or download this repository. 2. Open **Google Chrome** and go to `chrome://extensions/`. 3. Enable **Developer mode** in the top-right corner. 4. Click **Load unpacked** and select the project folder. 5. The extension will appear in your toolbar. --- ## Permissions AfroRate requires access to: - **`v6.exchangerate-api.com`** This permission is used solely to fetch exchange rate data.
