Open-source climate-health intelligence platform for localized readiness and point-of-care support in low-resource settings # NextGen IT Hub Climate Health Readiness Platform Open-source, AI-powered climate-health intelligence platform designed to help frontline health teams anticipate disruptions, prioritize risk, and maintain continuity of care in low-resource and low-connectivity settings. ## Overview The Climate Health Readiness Platform is a working prototype developed by **NextGen IT Hub**, a Uganda-registered, women-led and youth-led technology company. The platform is designed to strengthen frontline healthcare readiness and point-of-care decision support where climate shocks increasingly disrupt essential services for children and vulnerable communities. The solution combines climate, health, and service-delivery signals into localized operational intelligence that supports earlier action, better preparedness, and more resilient frontline response. ## The Challenge In many low-resource settings, climate-related shocks such as flooding, drought, extreme heat, and disease outbreaks disrupt health services while frontline teams still rely on fragmented, delayed, and largely manual workflows. This makes it harder to identify rising risks early, prioritize vulnerable locations, plan for surges, and sustain essential care during disruption. The challenge is not only a lack of data. It is the lack of timely, usable, frontline-ready intelligence that can convert risk signals into faster local action. ## What the Platform Does The platform is being built to support two core operational needs: ### 1. Healthcare Readiness - Localized risk scoring - Facility and community vulnerability prioritization - Surge-readiness support - Preparedness planning for climate-related disruption ### 2. Point-of-Care Support - Simple alerts and risk summaries for frontline teams - Continuity-of-care decision support in disrupted settings - Low-connectivity access to essential operational insights - Practical guidance for local response and coordination ## Core Technical Approach The current pro …
