This repository contains the engineering thesis entitled:
**Estimation of Return Periods and Return Levels of Extreme Rainfall in Yagoua, Cameroon**
The study investigates extreme precipitation events in the city of Yagoua using Extreme Value Theory (EVT) and CHIRPS rainfall data. The Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) and Generalized Pareto Distribution (GPD) models were applied to estimate rainfall return periods and return levels for flood risk assessment.
