The analysis examines socioeconomic and sociodemographic disparities in maternal healthcare utilization, identifying factors associated with incomplete and complete utilization of essential maternal health services. The project was conducted as part of a broader research study on disparities in maternal healthcare utilization in Kenya. # Research Question What are the socioeconomic and sociodemographic factors that influence the continuum of maternal healthcare utilization among women of reproductive age in Kenya? # Objectives 1. Describe the characteristics of women included in the study. 2. Examine the prevalence of maternal healthcare utilization across the continuum of care. 3. Assess associations between socioeconomic and sociodemographic characteristics and maternal healthcare utilization. 4. Identify predictors of incomplete and complete maternal healthcare utilization using multinomial logistic regression. # Dataset Source: Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2022 The KDHS is a nationally representative household survey that collects information on population health, maternal and child health, reproductive health, and nutrition. Note: The KDHS dataset is not included in this repository due to data sharing restrictions. Researchers can request access through the DHS Program. # Methods The analysis includes: 1. Data cleaning and preparation 2. Variable recoding 3. Descriptive statistics 4. Bivariate analysis 5. Multinomial logistic regression 6.
