A simple web application designed to address digital inclusion challenges across East Africa. # AnchorID AnchorID is a privacy-first digital identity platform designed to help refugees, stateless persons, and displaced populations securely store and present verifiable credentials without relying on centralized identity databases. The platform enables humanitarian organizations and authorized partners to issue digitally signed credentials that individuals can securely hold in their own digital wallet. These credentials can be verified by service providers such as banks, healthcare facilities, employers, aid agencies, and telecommunications providers while protecting sensitive personal information. AnchorID is built around the principles of user ownership, security, accessibility, and portability. The platform supports offline credential access, QR-based verification, local biometric authentication, credential revocation, and multilingual accessibility, making it suitable for low-connectivity and resource-constrained environments. ## Problem Millions of displaced people lack reliable access to identity documents, making it difficult to access essential services such as healthcare, financial services, education, employment, and humanitarian assistance.
