Climate and supply-chain analytics project examining sugar production risk and climate impacts on beverage manufacturing in Nigeria. # climate-resilience-sugar-supply-risk Climate and supply-chain analytics project examining sugar production risk and climate impacts on beverage manufacturing in Nigeria. 🌱 Climate Resilience & Sugar Supply Risk Analytics 📌 Overview This project develops a climate-resilience decision-support framework for the Nigerian beverage manufacturing industry. The analysis examines how climate variability and agricultural production conditions can create risks for the supply of key raw materials, with a particular focus on sugar production and beverage manufacturing. The project combines climate, agricultural and supply-chain data with interactive Power BI dashboards to support data-driven risk monitoring. 🎯 Business Problem Beverage manufacturers depend on reliable agricultural and commodity supply chains. Changes in rainfall patterns, agricultural productivity and climate conditions can affect raw-material availability and create operational and supply-chain risks. This project investigates how climate and agricultural indicators can be transformed into decision-support information for beverage manufacturing. ❓ Key Questions The project investigates questions including: How does rainfall vary across selected Nigerian states and over time? What patterns can be observed in sugar production and yield? Which agricultural and climate conditions may create supply risks? Which locations may require closer monitoring? How can climate information support manufacturing and supply-chain decisions? 🗺️ Geographic Scope The climate analysis includes selected Nigerian states: Niger Kwara Kogi Adamawa These locations are examined in relation to rainfall and agricultural production indicators relevant to the analysis. 📊 Data The project integrates multiple categories of information, including: Climate Data: Rainfall indicators at the subnational level are used to examine climate variability. Agricultural Data: Sugar production and yield indicators are used to eval …
