Access to safe water remains a major challenge in many African communities, fueling outbreaks of waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. Poor sanitation, contaminated water sources, and weak health surveillance systems contribute to the problem, with responses often arriving too late. Access to safe water remains a major challenge in many African communities, fueling outbreaks of waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid, and diarrhea. Poor sanitation, contaminated water sources, and weak health surveillance systems contribute to the problem, with responses often arriving too late. This project uses data analytics to predict outbreaks, identify high-risk areas, and support timely interventions — combining water quality data, health records, and geospatial insights into a real-time surveillance tool.
