AI-powered Instagram chatbot for dental clinics in Morocco — automates DMs, collects patient info, and books appointments. DentaBot — Instagram Automation for Dental Clinics An Instagram DM automation platform built for dentists in Morocco. A dentist connects their clinic's Instagram account, and the bot handles the first conversation with every incoming lead automatically — qualifying them, collecting what's needed, and booking the appointment, without the clinic staff touching a phone. The Problem Dental clinics in Morocco get a large share of new patient inquiries through Instagram DMs, not phone calls or a website form. In practice, those DMs get answered late, inconsistently, or not at all — clinic staff are busy with patients in the chair, not managing a chat inbox. Leads go cold waiting for a reply. What It Does Connects directly to the clinic's Instagram account — the dentist signs in with their own IG, no separate app or number needed for patients. Auto-replies to incoming DMs in real time, so no lead waits. Asks qualifying questions conversationally to understand what the patient needs. Collects a photo of the patient's teeth directly in the DM thread, giving the dentist visual context before the first visit. Books the appointment and confirms it with the patient, end to end, with no manual back-and-forth from staff. Why This Approach Most "chatbot" tools are generic FAQ bots. This is built specifically around one workflow — new-patient intake for a dental clinic — including the photo-collection step, which is what actually lets a dentist triage a case before the patient walks in. Tech Stack (fill in: e.g. Next.js / Node.js backend, Instagram Graph API / Meta Messenger Platform, database used, hosting) Status & Challenges This project is functional but currently limited by Meta's advanced permissions requirements for the Instagram Messaging API, which gate the level of automation available to apps without business verification at scale. That's the main blocker to moving this from a working prototype to a fully deployed product for multiple clinics.
