It does two things, under one roof: **Verify mode** — a journalist pastes a suspect claim (a Facebook post, a WhatsApp screenshot, something circulating) and the AI returns a structured verification report: confidence tier, which past examples it looks like, what to check next, a draft response. **Listen mode** — Track the *origin* of suspect Facebook content — pages with foreign administrators, coordinated talking-point lifts, identity-history anomalies — rather than what posts say. Includes a watchlist, post-by-post origin analysis, a coordination check across multiple posts, and a weekly editorial brief. It runs on one laptop in your newsroom for now. You'll use it, the team will use it, you'll feed in real cases as you encounter them. As you find what works and what doesn't, the app gets adjusted — that's the whole point of running it locally first.
