Open-source, mobile-first environmental dashboard engineered to crowdsource bridge flooding alerts and monitor alternative water utility networks across the Mbale region, Uganda # EcoTrack Mbale 🏔️⚠️ An open-source, mobile-responsive environmental monitoring dashboard engineered to streamline climate-crisis response, early-warning alerts, and infrastructure monitoring across the disaster-prone Mount Elgon region in Mbale, Uganda. ## 📌 Project Origin & Governance * **Initiator & Project Director:** Byamugenzi Salaha (President, Rotaract Club of IUIU-MC, 2026-2027) * **Engineering Incubator:** Developed collaboratively by the student technical committee of the **Rotaract Club of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) Main Campus**. * **Oversight Framework:** Co-managed alongside our local Mother Rotary Club to guarantee institutional continuity across consecutive leadership transitions. --- ## 🛠️ Project Technical Scope To ensure low-bandwidth compatibility for field volunteers using mobile phones in cliff communities, the platform decouples UI layouts from deep server-side data processing: - **Frontend & UI/UX:** Responsive mobile-first interface layouts utilizing CSS Flexbox/Grid, semantic HTML5 markup, and interactive layout mapping templates. - **Backend Architecture:** Relational cloud database endpoints and automated data handling logic developed collaboratively by our club's advanced software engineering cohort. - **Core Automation Logic:** Python scripts designed to parse regional hydrological alerts and log systemic data metrics. --- ## 🚀 Active Project Core Modules ### 1.
