The objective of this analysis is to explore the relationship between child labor and access to education across selected African countries from 2012 to 2022. It INTRODUCTION This analysis presents a comprehensive study of the interplay between child labor and access to education across multiple African countries. It consolidates data on key variables such as type of labor, age, gender, school type, access to education support, access to learning materials and household income to uncover patterns that affect children's educational outcomes. The analysis also focuses on how socio-economic and regional factors influence the prevalence of child labor and the barriers it creates to schooling and overall student performance. Objective of the Project: The objective of this analysis is to explore the relationship between child labor and access to education across selected African countries from 2012 to 2022. It aims to identify the most common types of child labor and the demographic groups based on age, gender, and income level that are most affected. The analysis also seeks to examine how school attendance is influenced by factors such as work hours and household income. Additionally, it compares the availability of learning materials in public and private schools and highlights regional differences in community support for education. Ultimately, the goal is to provide insights that can inform policies and interventions aimed at reducing child labor and improving educational access for vulnerable children in the selected sample area. Problem Being Addressed: The analysis tackles the issue of child labor limiting access to education in African countries. Many children, especially boys around age 10, are forced into work due to poverty and low household income, leading to school absenteeism or dropout. Limited educational resources, particularly in public schools, worsen the situation, creating a cycle of poverty and reduced opportunities Key Datasets Used: i.
