An end-to-end data analytics project using Python, SQL, and Tableau to analyze digital readiness and economic development across Africa. # Africa Digital Readiness & Technology Investment Dashboard ## Overview This end-to-end data analytics project examines economic development and internet adoption across **49 African countries from 2000 to 2021**. Python and Pandas were used to clean and merge the data, DuckDB SQL was used for analysis, and Tableau was used to build the interactive dashboard. ## Dashboard Preview ## Business Question How have GDP and internet adoption changed across African countries, and which countries show the strongest economic and digital-development indicators? ## Data Sources 1. **Population and GDP (Africa)** — Kaggle - Country, region, year, population, and GDP in USD 2. **Number of People Using the Internet** — Our World in Data - Country, country code, year, and number of internet users The internet-adoption measure was calculated as: ```text Internet Adoption (%) = Number of Internet Users / Population × 100 ``` ## Tools - Python and Pandas - DuckDB SQL - Tableau - Jupyter Notebook in VS Code - Git and GitHub ## Workflow 1. Inspected both raw datasets for data types, missing values, and duplicates. 2. Removed records with missing GDP values and standardized country names. 3. Merged the datasets by country and year. 4. Calculated internet adoption as a percentage of population. 5. Explored GDP, internet adoption, yearly trends, and their relationship using Python and SQL. 6.
