Ibani dictionary in SQL, JSON # Ibani-dictionary Ibani dictionary in SQL, JSON ## Introduction Ibani egere(Ibani Language) is an Ijoid language spoken in Nigeria's Niger delta region, the Ibani people can be found in Bonny and Opobo/Nkoro Lga's, the language is currently classified as Vigorous by Ethnologue which means the language is used for face-to-face communication by all generations and the situation is sustainable. ## Goal This project aims to create the Ibani dictionary in the SQL and JSON, to enable a more standardized format for applications in the language, the web implementation can be found here ibani-nye.vercel.app ## File Descriptions The files in this repository are listed below: * `Ibani dictionary conversion to sql.ipynb`: Python notebook for exploration, cleaning and transformation. * `Ibani dictionary `: Pdf file showing initial version of Ibani dictionary. * `IbaniDictionary.db`: Ibani dictionary in sql. * `IbaniDictionary.json`:json version of Ibani dictionary. * `Merged File`: Excel file version of Ibani dictionary used as input. ## Language Resources Some language learning resources for Ibani Egere are listed below: >Lets Speak Ibani > >Ibani dictionary
