End-to-End Public Health Analytics Platform Tracking Nigeria's Progress Toward SDG Health Targets (1960–2024) # Nigeria Health Intelligence 🇳🇬 > An end-to-end public health analytics platform tracking Nigeria's progress toward WHO and SDG health targets using data from the World Bank, WHO, and NCDC. --- # Project Overview Nigeria Health Intelligence is an end-to-end analytics project designed to measure how effectively Nigeria is progressing toward key public health goals. The platform combines health indicators from multiple international and national sources, transforms them into an analytical model, and delivers a decision-focused dashboard that evaluates performance against WHO and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets. Rather than simply tracking trends, the project asks: > Which health indicators are improving? > Which targets are being missed? > Where should intervention efforts be prioritised? --- # Business Problem Governments, NGOs, and development agencies frequently monitor health indicators independently. However, decision-makers rarely have a single view showing: * Current performance * Historical trends * Distance from targets * Progress since baseline year * Relative success across health programmes Without this context, it becomes difficult to prioritise resources and evaluate whether interventions are producing meaningful outcomes. This project was developed to provide a consolidated health intelligence framework for Nigeria. --- # Core Questions The analysis focuses on several critical questions: 1. Is Nigeria on track to achieve SDG 3 health targets? 2. Which health indicators have improved most since 2000? 3. Which indicators show little or no progress? 4. How do outcomes compare against WHO benchmarks? 5. What can be learned from successful interventions? 6. Which health system constraints continue to limit progress? --- # Data Sources ### World Bank Open Data Used for: * Life expectancy * Health expenditure * Physician density * Maternal mortality * Child mortality * Immunisation coverage * HIV prevalence * TB …
