Using SQL queries and real-world datasets from Maji Ndogo, this project uncovers key insights, identifies water access challenges, and supports evidence-based decision-making for sustainable solutions. # Maji Ndogo SQL project: Water and Sanitation # In this project, we leverage real-life data from the United Nations to address a sustainable development goal. We will utilize advanced querying techniques in a 4-part project to derive actionable insights that will contribute to a better future for Maji Ndogo. Sql scripts and comments are attached below: Part 1 (EXCEL) # Process # Loading the dataset into my Sql workbench Explore data types together with types of water sources. Wrote queries to assess the quality of water sources. Wrote a query to investigate pollution issues. Fix incorrect records. # Insights # There are inconsistencies in the data regarding the description of the wells, some records were recorded as “clean” even though according to the contamination column it indicates that the water is contaminated. The quality scores for the shared taps aren’t rated as high as the other water sources. Shared taps have the greatest number of people served together with time in queue, with people queuing for more than 8 hours.
