This dataset offers a global list of countries alongside their respective continents and ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes, formatted for ease of use in international and geospatial applications. Key features include: Standardized country names ISO alpha-2 country codes Alternative country naming conventions (e.g., Bolivia, Plurinational State of, Côte d'Ivoire) Assigned continent names (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America, Antarctica) The continent information was manually curated and added by Narayan Thapa, ensuring that edge cases and non-sovereign territories (e.g., Timor-Leste, Micronesia, Antarctica, Vatican City) are accurately categorized.
