Global Low-Income Countries Street-Level Imagery (GLIC-SLI): A Curated Urban Streetscape Dataset

Global Low-Income Countries Street-Level Imagery (GLIC-SLI): A Curated Urban Streetscape Dataset is a large-scale urban street-level imagery dataset covering 26 low-income countries, including 16 in Africa and 10 in Asia, with a total of 1,953,002 panoramic street-view images collected across 210 city-level administrative districts. From this full collection, we selected 50,000 images as a sample subset for release on Zenodo. The dataset is designed to support research on the built environment, urban form, and place-based inequalities. Captured from roadside viewpoints, the images document a wide range of streetscape and public-environment conditions, including building facades, road surfaces, sidewalks, public amenities, vegetation, and signage. The data are organized by city/area and unique image identifiers, and basic metadata can be extracted from image/file names (e.g., data source and collection method, acquisition time range where available, and optional aggregated-level location fields).
