This dataset provides a harmonised measurement, crosswalk, diagnostic and reproducibility package derived from Waves 3 (2015/16), 4 (2018/19) and 5 (2023/24) of the Nigeria General Household Survey-Panel. It supports household welfare analysis across survey waves whose instruments, item rosters and measurement structures changed over time. The package includes wave-specific food-item mappings, a 17-domain shock crosswalk, value-label dictionaries, sample-flow data, archive checksums, descriptive and model-output tables, placebo and unit-consistency diagnostics, clustering and equivalence-test outputs, bootstrap draws, figures, and the complete Python analysis pipeline. The package was constructed to support analysis of net market position, real food consumption, food-price exposure and related household welfare measures. It documents the conversion and validation steps required to place household-level agricultural values and consumption measures on compatible units and provides reusable cross-wave harmonisation resources for LSMS-type panel data. The underlying household microdata are not redistributed. They remain available from the World Bank Microdata Library under the applicable access conditions for each survey wave. The deposit instead provides openly shareable derived data objects, diagnostics, metadata and code needed to reproduce the published analytical outputs once authorised users obtain the source archives. The package is intended for researchers working on development economics, agricultural economics, household welfare measurement, food-price analysis, panel-data harmonisation and reproducible survey-data workflows.
