HIV serodiscordant couple study

This is a mock vaccine research involving HIV serodiscordant negative (HESN) partners. A prospective observational cohort study to enroll HESN partners in an established sero-discordant relationship with a 2-year follow up was developed at the Plateau State Human Virology Research Centre (PLASVIREC), a research facility in Jos, Nigeria. The study aimed to document the prevalence and incidence of HIV transmission among HESN partners in an established relationship as well as characterise as a baseline for future HIV vaccine trial.
