HIV Synthesis program files for analysis of attribution of HIV related deaths in Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa

Three programs are needed to produce outputs for the attribution of deaths modelling analyses.File 1/3 is 'hiv_synthesis_ZIM21Jan25_Figshare' (and uses file 2/3 'Zim_parameters)This file was run 000 times of which 100 runs met the calibration criteria for Zimbabwe. This is a stochastic model and hence running the model 1000 times will not produce identical outputs to those analysed. However, conclusions are expected to be as presented in the paper.SAS is required to run this file, together with a Zimbabwe specific parameter file ('Zim_parameters'). This parameter file needs to be saved to a local directory. Search for 'LOCAL FILE PATH' to change to local filepaths/filenames.See slideset 'Help with program' for further support: explanation of hiv_synthesis model program.pptxOnce the model has been run multiple times (minimum 1000), the outputs need to be set on top of each other (either using SAS or within the computing program in which they were run) before reading them into file 3/3, 'create_wide_file_zim_21Jan25'.
