Under the framework of the LEAP-RE initiative and in compliance with Horizon 2020 open access requirements, HyAfrica ensures full public availability of its non-confidential deliverables through the HyAfrica Zenodo Community zenodo.org  The accompanying document includes the complete list of  HyAfrica deliverables (WP1–WP7) and provides the direct DOI link to the corresponding record in the HyAfrica Zenodo Community, ensuring persistent and citable access to each document. Objective of the Archive The HyAfrica Zenodo repository (zenodo.org) serves as the project’s official long-term digital archive, guaranteeing: Open access to scientific and technical outputs Persistent DOI-based referencing Transparency in EU-funded research dissemination Long-term preservation beyond project completion The repository includes all deliverables related to: Mapping H2 seeps and occurrence  (WP1) Understanding the geologic and tectonic contexts (WP2) Geophysical characterisation (WP3) Developing roadmaps for exploration (WP4) Socio-economic impacts and business plans (WP5) Capacity building and communication (WP6) Coordination and Management(WP7) of which some are publicly available, while others are under an embargo for 12 months.  This dissemination action supports LEAP-RE’s objectives of strengthening EU–AU research collaboration, promoting open science practices, and enabling knowledge transfer on natural hydrogen exploration and its role in Africa’s energy transition. ________________________________________________________________________________________ HyAfrica, a collaborative research project under the Long‑Term Joint EU–AU Research and Innovation Partnership on Renewable Energy (LEAP‑RE), aimed to investigate the role of natural hydrogen (also called white hydrogen, native hydrogen and, more recently, geological hydrogen) as a possible renewable energy source for Africa, particularly in the context of standalone or mini-grid energy systems for isolated communities. The project was coordinated by CONVERGE! Lda (Portugal) and brought together partners from Germany (LIAG Institute for Applied Geophysics and Fraunhofer IEE), Morocco (University Mohamed premier Oujda), Mozambique (University Eduardo Mondlane and National Directorate for Geology and mines – DNGM), South Africa (University of Pretoria and University of Limpopo) and Togo (University of Lomé). It targeted four promising regions – Jerada & Tendrara (Morocco), Bilene/Macia (Mozambique), Nkangala (Mpumalanga, South Africa) and Lacs (Togo) – where natural hydrogen had either been previously detected or where geological conditions are particularly favourable.
