



SWAT Model Input Data for the Kulpawn River Basin, Northwestern Ghana.
This dataset provides the daily climate dataset and observed streamflow used to set up, calibrate, and validate a Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT2012, QSWAT interface) model of the Kulpawn River Basin in northwestern Ghana (approximately 10.1–10.8° N, 1.9–2.5° W). It supports hydrological modelling, water-resources assessment, and reproducibility of the associated study.
The climate dataset comprises five variables, each supplied on a regular 3 × 3 grid of nine points across the basin: precipitation (pcp1–9, mm), maximum and minimum temperature (tmp11–99, °C), relative humidity (rh1–9), solar radiation (sr1–9, MJ m⁻² day⁻¹), and wind speed (wn1–9, m s⁻¹). These are “plain-text files” in SWAT format: the first line is the record start date (19920101, for example, 1 January 1992), and each following line is one calendar day in continuous order, with -99 marking missing values. Temperature files hold two comma-separated columns per day (maximum, then minimum). Each variable has a matching station table (“Stations.txt”) listing point ID, name, latitude, longitude, and elevation, which links each grid point to its data file. The 1992–1994 record serves as the model warm-up.
The observed streamflow, recorded at the Yagaba gauging station at the basin outlet, is split by modelling phase: Calibration-1995-2004.xlsx and Validation-2005-2021.xlsx.
