The Nigerian economy has, in recent times, been beset by many challenges. To address these challenges and improve overall economic performance, it is crucial to explore innovative approaches and solutions. To ensure this, this study considered the integration of an office technology and management programme to improve the economy. The study is undertaken to examine the role of office technology and management in the enhancement of efficiency and overall economic growth. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study, and the population consists of 111 academic staff and graduating students in office technology and management in government-owned institutions in Ekiti State. A sample of ninety-one academic staff and students was used for the study. Three research questions were raised for the study. The research instrument was a 4-point Likert-type questionnaire validated by an expert in the field. Simple percentages, means, and standard deviations were used to analyze the research questions. The results showed that respondents agreed with the items listed for the study, as the grand means and standard deviations for the research questions were 3.529 (0.325), 3.385 (0.306), and 3.552 (0.328), respectively, all of which were above 2.50, the boundary limit set for the study. The study revealed that enhanced infrastructure will facilitate the delivery and implementation of the programme in institutions. It was therefore recommended that the government and other stakeholders provide infrastructural support and development for the programme to achieve its potential to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall economic growth.
